We offer the widest selection of apparel embellishment processes you’ll find online. Combine them to create something truly unique. Each design element you create is treated as a separate layer so you can apply changes to them independently. Each layer is represented by the tabs along the right side of your design. To control the order of each layer, simply drag and drop the tabs. While you can control the order within a given process, the order of application will be: Printed, Pressed, Stitched. For example, you cannot print over the top of a stitched design.

Your design is printed directly onto the product using a high-quality,
ink-based process (like screenprinting). We can print on any color
garment — including dark garments. Either use our wide selection of
typefaces or upload your own files. We can support JPG, GIF, PICT, PNG &
TIFF. However, a 300 dpi PNG file is our preferred format. Your files
must have a transparent background. All white areas will print as white ink.

Add some texture to your design with our pressed-on processes. These are heat-applied applications where the design is cut from specialized material and applied using heat and pressure to the product. The final result is permanently bonded with the fabric. Material choices include glitters, metallic foils, flock (which has a fuzzy surface), and glow-in-the-dark. Currently, you can choose from our wide selection of typefaces or mash-up designs we’ve already approved for sale. Because pressed designs require an approved vector file, we can’t support user-uploaded files at this time. However, we’re working on it and hope to add that feature soon. Stay tuned!

Hoodies & jerseys are naked without sewn-on lettering so we scoured the earth for 10 of the coolest typefaces we could find. We’ll stitch them in any color of felt you want. You pick the color of stitching, the size of the lettering and we’ll take care of the rest. Switch things up by choosing a contrasting stitch color or combine stitched lettering with printed and pressed layers.

Addressable Areas: Each embellishment process has a different addressable area on the garment and this area is dependent on the size of the garment you’ve selected. For example, the printable area on an adult tee is bigger than a youth sized tee. As a result, you may have to adjust the size of your designs to fit them on smaller garments. Keep in mind, if you’re mixing-up somebody else’s design, you may not be able to reduce the size if the Designer has elected not to let people mash-up their work.
Using Typefaces: Not every typeface is available for every process, depending on the limitation of the process. For example, we can’t sew some distressed typefaces.
How Long Will It Take to Ship? This is a tough question to answer because it depends on so many variables including the combination of embellishment options you used in your design and how many other orders are in our production pipeline. However, we generally ship all printed designs in 24 to 48 hours; pressed and stitched designs may take a little longer.
Color Matching The colors you see on your computer screen may not exactly match the final product. This is the result of several factors including variations in the way different brands of monitors are calibrated and also the way inks are absorbed into different styles of fabrics. Each product we produce is made to order so you can also expect minor differences in color matching from one product to another. Note: If you select a color during the design process using our color picker, you can also manually enter a HEX value to obtain a specific color.
Design Layers Our configurator allows you to apply multiple design elements to each product. This includes mixing and matching more than one embellishment process. Each design element is stored in a separate layer. This allows you to apply changes to each design element without effecting the other elements. Each layer is represented by the tabs that line the right side of your design. To make changes to a layer, click the appropriate tab and the tools shown in the configurator will be applied to that layer. To create a new layer, click the + tab. Drag and drop the layers to change the order of each design element. Note: Stitched designs must always be on top, then pressed designs followed by printed designs. You can control the order of each layer within each type of processes, but you cannot change the order of the processes.
About File Formats When uploading files to be printed on garments, we can accept a variety of formats including PNG, JPG, GIF and BNP. However, PNG is the best format to upload because it's lossless and supports transparency. This is important because our printing process will render any white area in the files you upload as white ink. As a result, if you want an area of your design to NOT be printed, then you need to save it as a transparent file. PNG supports this format. You can use your favorite image editing software (such as PhotoShop) to save your files into any of the formats listed. A great freeware application that can accomplish this is Gimp. Download it right now at: http://www.gimp.org. Another issue to consider is the resolution of any files you upload. The recommended resolution for files we print is 300 dpi. As a result, depending on the native resolution of the file you uploaded, our configurator may limit the overall size of your design. In other words, we can't take a low resolution file and make it large. The result would be unacceptable print quality.
Letter Sizing The minimum size you can make a given text character may vary from one process to another. This is the result of various physical limitations related to the manufacturing processes. Also, stitched letters increase in size in 1" increments. The smallest stitched letter is 1" tall and the largest is 10". Keep in mind that your design must be able to fit on the product you've selected. Different sized garments have different addressable areas and the addressable area for each design process may vary slightly.
Product Pricing The pricing of each product is determined by a number of factors including the processes used to create the design, the product you're purchasing and the Designer's mark-up (if the product was created by someone else). Also, if you're applying pressed design elements to your design, the price will increase as you enlarge these design elements due to the cost of the materials. All of these factors impact the price of your product.
Scaling and Placement of Designs Because of variations in the sizes of garments and other factors related to the manufacturing process, our production department reserves the right to make subtle adjustments to the size and location of certain design elements to make sure everything fits onto the garment.
What about zippers? Printed designs can be applied right over the top of the zipper on hooded sweatshirts (this process will actually print right over the zipper). Keep in mind that this will obscure a bit of your design. However, pressed and stitched design elements cannot interfere with the zipper. For example, if you decide to stitch the word "Brooklyn" across the chest of a full-zip hoodie, you must locate the word so that no letters will interfere with the zipper. Our production department reserves the right to make subtle adjustments to the locations of these design elements to make sure they don't interfere with the zipper.
